[Tutorial] The Copperhammer to Iron Mines run
Running Copperhammer to Iron Mines using a 55 Monk
by Occasion Caucasian (aka Petite Hoe, Cerb), from Ordinarily Extraordinary [oX]
Video Link: http://rapidshare.de/files/14525584/CopperToIM.wmv.html
Lately, many people have been asking how to run that using a monk, so I chose to record myself doing the run and explain a little.
This is the hardest run in the Southern Shiverpeaks (excluding Droks ), so don't expect to make it on your first tries with 100% success rate. It takes practice to get used to it.
Anyways, for now, download the video (I'm sorry about the quality, blame Windows Movie Maker, oh and BTW, I <3 Daft Punk) and watch it.
As you can see, I'm running it with Monk/Warrior without Balanced Stance. The latter is a waste for this run: There are only a few Azure Shadows in the easiest (first) part of the run, and you can easily deal with them.
For the first group, I'll get past the Aviacara and the Pinesouls, try to outrun the Guile if he follows you. Whenever there's a guile, you should scroll until you can see which skills he's using, when he uses Strip Enchant, you know you can just recast and you're safe for 20s.
Anyhow, let's keep going on. Past that first point with Aviacara and Pinesouls, there will be three Pinesoul groups, where three Azure Shadows will pop up whenever you come close (or 2 if there's a Blessed Griffon around). They use Signet of Judgement which knocks you down, but no worries. If you need to cast Protective Spirit, cast it while you are knocked down to secure the cast. Count the Azure Shadows, and count the times you are knocked down. After they all used their Signet of Judgement, sprint/rush away.
Next is the hard part, where the heretic is with a bunch of guiles on the road. Cast PS and SB before starting to run, they'll make you bleed so just cast Breeze on the road, then sprint, rush, try to outrun them. At all times you want to have your PS covered with breeze. That means everytime you need to cast Breeze, cast PS first then cover it with breeze. If you need to recast PS, cast it then cover with breeze. Try to monitor the Guile(s) like I did in the video to make it easier. Try to dodge traps if you can, but you have Purge Condition to save your life if anything bad happens (which happens often).
Once you're safe, the run is nearly over, two more groups each including a Guile to run through, but there's a safe point between them, so no worries. You don't *HAVE* to cast SB when there's only one guile around, just cover your Protective Spirit with Healing Breeze and monitor the Guile.
Practice some, then you should be good enough to start charging for the run
P-S: I won't run it for you, I won't do any demonstrations. You can contact me in game for any other questions, IGN = Occasion Caucasian

I will post a video of the Citadel to Copperhammer run but unfortunately, it will have to be a 55 video. It's possible to run this much faster than a 55hp build with Monk/Ranger, but the build I use (non-55, very fast) is very similar to the one Eks Bee sells, and I don't want to ruin his business, so I will refrain from posting a video of me using that non-55 build.
Expect it this afternoon :P

Okay, as promised, a video Citadel to Copperhammer. It is possible to use a much faster build (non-55), but it is very similar to the one Eks Bee is selling and I don't want to ruin the business of a honest man.
So, anyways, I played somewhat careless while recording it, it's a very easy run, some spawns suck tho. Just max out Divine Favor, 9 Healing Prayers, 8 Wilderness Survival and remaining points into Protection Prayers. A 20% longer enchantment weapon helps a lot.
If there's a group up the hill besides the zone point to Grenth's Footprints and you're getting chased or things aren't looking too good, you can just zone then zone back. About Ice Imps, when they Mind Freeze you, you know Maelstrom is coming so wait until they cast it before casting SB or Breeze (PS casts in .25s, it should be fine). If you walk in a trap and are crippled, don't waste Spellbreaker unless you're being chased by Ice Golems (Water Trider ftl~). Use Dodge to lose aggro if needed.
If you have any questions, just post in the thread BTW If you like the music:
Daft Punk - Digital Love for Copper -> IM
Ada - Eve for Granite -> Copper
If you have any more video run requests , just post here (Aside from Droks, I managed to do it twice and am never doing it again, I posted a thread about it already where you can find my build and screenshots)!
Feedback/Comments appreciated! ~Cerb
